Use these brief descriptions to tell us when you want to travel
April: when courses are more accessible and
hotels offer better deals
May: real start of the golf season but still
not too crowded
June: it’s getting busier and warmer.
36 holes a day with daylight to spare.
July: Open Championship month so expect a lot
of tourists. Best tee times need booking well in advance.
August: Peak season. Remember to include The
Military Tattoo in Edinburgh.
September: Most difficult month for St Andrews
Old Course, (its closed for 2 weeks) which makes the rest easy.
October: The deals start returning as do the
shorter days and the chillier weather.
November: Can be bright and crisp or damp and
cold. Think about Spain/Portugal/South Africa
December: If you are Santa we look forward to
seeing you. Otherwise its city break time.
